SHE Specialist

The Safety, Health & Environmental (SH&E) team performs various duties in several SHE disciplines to secure compliance with the organization’s occupational health and safety targets and with national and EU regulatory requirements. Since most of our associates work in the field, the normal workplace for this group is considered to be on the road or at a customer site. This is a particular challenge and requires a high degree of experience in a commercial setting.

The SHE Specialist, working from Leiden the Netherlands, oversees and supports the deployment and maintenance of leading activities, reporting systems and procedural guidance as deemed necessary to ensure the overall safety and health of our associates. With the primary objective to create and promote a strong SHE culture within the local organization, they monitor physical, chemical and biological hazards in the work areas and recommend and implement preventative measures. They investigate accidents, injuries and spills and qualify observations concerning hazards or inappropriate conditions in the work place. They recommend improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment, and assist in developing / delivering employee training, emergency preparedness and quality assurance programs. The SHE Specialist reports to the geographic SH&E Manager and may have an operational reporting line to a Country Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

Provides subject matter expertise and support to the local associates and management teams to ensure a high level of SHE engagement
Supports the SH&E program deployment within the Country in accordance with the overall company strategy and local regulatory requirements. Programs will include but are not limited to:
Driver Safety
Personal and Workplace Safety (Risk Assessments)
Corporate Management and Reporting Systems (Intelex)
Auditing and Compliance activities also at Customer sites (ECAP’s)
Ensures reporting discipline within the local organization for the global systems such as Intelex, ECAP Audits, etc. and the appropriate level of incident investigation. Monitors and consolidates the data to communicate SH&E performance and progress against targets.
Supports the procedural alignment with company SH&E policies
Ensures that any market-specific requirements (regulatory or industry-related) are captured, monitored and supported. (e.g., workplace risks assessments, specific safety certifications such as MASE or VCA…)
Ensures mandatory trainings, as required by the company and/or local regulations, are appropriately organized, completed and documented. This may be through internal Learning Management Systems, classroom training or external providers depending on requirements

A degree in occupational safety or a technical / chemical Engineering degree coupled with Occupational HSE European recognized certification
5 to 7 years of experience and/or exposure in field of business.
Experience in a larger organization within the Petrochemical, Chemical, Food & Beverage or Water Treatment industry would be an advantage.
Are able to work under limited supervision and can demonstrate leadership potential and coaching, training and mentoring skills.
Ability to work in a matrix and multi-cultural environment.
Demonstrated ability to deliver results through others.
Previous experience or exposure to project and change management.
Experience in certified management systems.
Fluent in English (additional language, preferably French, would be a plus)
Willingness and ability to travel locally and in a limited European scope

Account Executive Surgical (middle & north Netherlands)

Our goal is to provide healthcare professionals with innovative surgical solutions that help increase efficiency, improve outcomes and help reduce the risk of Hospital Acquired Infections. You will interact with a variety of clinical settings including operating rooms, interventional radiology, ultrasound, cardiac catheterization labs and ambulatory surgical centers.

What You Will Do

Introduce new product offerings to existing customers and prospect / cold call / network to obtain new business.
Manage customer base and build relationships through professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
Partner with customers to implement best practices to fight hospital-acquired infections.
Provide outstanding customer service, educate customers on ways to improve their patient outcomes and be relied upon as an Surgical Infection Prevention Specialist.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.
Previous medical device sales experience.
A valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
Flexibility for overnight travel as needed.

Wat ga je bij ons doen?

Tijdens deze stage/opdracht assisteer je bij de implementatie en controle op het safety beleid zoals mobiele telefoonbeleid of heftruck beleid etc. Daarnaast assisteer je de SHE manager met het vormgeven van de opleidingsprocedure voor medewerkers binnen de fabriek.

Tevens assisteer je met het evalueren van een risico inventarisatie en evaluatie (RI&E).

Jouw profiel:

Je bent student HBO Integrale Veiligheidskunde (IVK) of gelijkwaardig
Je bent communicatief sterk zowel in het Nederlands als Engels.
Je houdt van een dynamische omgeving, bent niet bang om vragen te stellen en weet van aanpakken.
Je hebt een proactieve instelling, werkt zelfstandig en beschikt over een gezonde dosis enthousiasme.

Application Engineer

We are looking for an Application Engineer based in the Rotterdam area, to provide on-site field service and assist customers with problem solving support regarding the company’s products, applications and solutions, and this for the Nalco Champion division – Downstream (dedicated to Refinery & Petrochemical) in Netherlands. The role itself will progress into a Sales Engineer position in the future.

Main Responsibilities:

Support to district sales personnel in the handling of company program service calls on existing products and services, and assist in the correction problems as appropriate.
Support to district Sales personnel to maintain customer accounts (retention selling)
Participate in design reviews, new application start-ups, and evaluations. Assist in critiquing products for serviceability, performance and reliability. Inter-act with appropriate company resources and work as a team.
Ability to assess on-site field problems and operate required testing equipment to return systems to customer conformance.
Coordinate and manage replacement parts programs with the individual manufacturing plants to ensure the availability of components as needed.
Assist in the preparation of reports detailing technical problems and solutions to initiate necessary corrective product modifications and/or recommended process changes. Document value provided to the customer whenever possible.
Assist in the development of troubleshooting service guides and bulletins on existing products. Assume lead role of maintaining troubleshooting guides/bulletins and distribution to departments when required.
Qualify, coordinate and monitor outside subcontractor network as required to ensure repair timelines are maintained and customer satisfaction is maintained.
Work with other district personnel toward continuous improvement of policies and procedures resulting in increased customer satisfaction.
Provide installation resource services on a project request basis necessary to satisfy the needs of the customer. Services may include (but not limited to) field surveys, installation checklists, rollout support services, etc.
Seek to keep abreast of the latest industry advances through continuous education.
Engaged and demonstrating the district safety culture in all aspects of your day to day work I line with defined metrics, systems of work and tools to protect yourself, colleques, customers and the nalco brand
Demonstrates safe driving techniques and maintains company car and equipment in a neat and professional manner.
Required Qualifications:
